SpectraVet is a portable and easy to use low level laser therapy system - cold laser - laser phototherapy system -specially designed for use on large and small animals. SpectraVet veterinary laser delivers effective and speedy treatment of musculoskeletal injuries that are often sustained by animals participating in equine and/or canine sports.

Low level laser therapy (LLLT) increases the speed of tissue healing, reduces inflammation and relieves pain. Low level laser therapy is very suitable for animals as it does not traumatise treated animals and offers faster recovery. Low lever laser therapy is suitable for large and small animals alike, such as horses and dogs. LLLT is very suitable and highly practical for treating animal athletes - performing or racing horses and racing greyhounds.

The portability of SpectraVet battery powered diode laser system enables treatments to be carried out in field locations, addressing injuries effectively and immediately and shortening recovery time. Examples of injuries responding well to SpectraVet low level laser treatment include haematomas, muscle tears and tendinopathies.

SpectraVet veterinary low level laser therapy system (laser phototherapy system) is portable, light and easy to operate. It offers a comprehensive selection of single laser probes and multi-laser cluster probes to suit all potential treatment requirements of large and small animals, such as horses and dogs.

SpectraVet treatment can help your horse or a dog in many different ways:

	reduce inflammation and pain from traumatic arthritis, sesamoiditis, bursitis and fractures
	relieve stiffness and pain in muscles and joints
	promote healing of stretched tendons, fractures, wounds and muscle ruptures
	relieve skin soreness and splints
	perform non-invasive acupuncture

When fully charged, the SpectraVet offers approximately 150 minutes of continuous use, when using the 1.5W cluster probe. Proportionately longer operational time is achieved, when using probes with lower power output. You can continue to operate the device, while recharging, provided that you have an access to a mains power supply.

SpectraVet device comprises of a base controller unit and a variety of single and cluster laser probes.

SpectraVet Controller Unit:

The SpectraVet base control unit is housed in a tough aluminium case that protects it from everyday knocks and bumps. The controller has a master key to ensure safety and prevention of unauthorised usage of the laser. The controller unit is fully portable and can operate directly from mains power supplies or use an integral rechargeable battery. The SpectraVet has 12 selectable frequencies (KHz) and 12 timer setting (seconds). It allows the user to set required frequency ranging between 250 Hz to 5000 Hz and program the treatment time from 4 seconds to 96 seconds duration. The laser can be paused and resumed at any time during the pre-set time. After 5 minutes of no use, the SpectraVet returns automatically to the standby state. The controller is light to carry and weighs only 2 lb (circa 1 kg).

SpectraVet laser produces infrared laser light at 810 nm wavelength.

SpectraVet Laser Probes:

SpectraVet utilises single and multi diode cluster probes. All SpectraVet laser probes are made from aircraft grade aluminium and are anodised for protection against damage, scratches and wear.

- Infrared single laser probes are perfect for treating trigger points and tendon injuries and for application of acupuncture. SpectraVet single probes emit infrared 810 nm wavelength laser beam and are available in 125 mW, 250 mW and 500 mW power output versions.

- Infrared multi diode cluster probes incorporate four laser diodes that emit 810 nm wavelength laser light. They are perfect for treating large muscle groups as they cover the injured areas faster. SpectraVet cluster probes are available in 1W, 1.5W and 2W total power output versions.

SpectraVet control unit is also capable of driving other laser probes (i.e. red laser probes for healing of open wounds) and enables easy custom adaptation of the device to specific needs of the user as well as grow with changing circumstances.

SpectraVet is CE marked for European sales and provides excellent value for money. SpectraVet is a laser Class 3B. SpectraVet is designated for veterinary use only.

SpectraVet fully complies with the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC and as amended by 92/31/EEC and with the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC. It is also compliant with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and the WEEE Directive 2002/960/EC.
