Prestige Digital Infrared Ear Thermometer DT-22

Digital Infrared Ear Thermometer  (DT-22) from Prestige is an easy to operate and accurate ear thermometer with 10 memories capacity and a choice of temperature measurements made in Celsius and/or Fahrenheit. The DT-22 reads the temperature in a fraction of a second and can be reused every 5 seconds. The 5 seconds interval between measurements ensures accuracy and precision of individual readings.

Prestige DT-22 Digital Infrared Ear Thermometer is portable and easy to use with large digital LCD display. It has an automatic switch off feature that guarantees economical use of battery power.

The uniqueness of the DT-22 infrared digital ear thermometer is it's thermopile probe, which does not require probe covers. The probe can be simply wiped clean after each use with an alcohol-moistened soft cloth or with sterilising moist wipes. However, if the DT-22 thermometer is used more widely and on many different people, there are disposable covers available as an option.  

DT-22 has been developed to measure the temperature in the ear, thus measuring the real core body temperature. The DT-22 measures the infrared heat generated by the eardrum and the tissues around it. Temperature in the ear reflects accurately the temperature of the inner body. The changes in the core temperature can be detected at the ear drum point sooner than when measured elsewhere and more accurately due to lack of influencing factors that can be potentially present at other sites (i.e. drinking of cold or hot fluids prior to oral temperature taking can affect the readings accordingly).
