Guide
for Men and Women with Leakage from the Back Passage: Prevent it! is
presented below.

Prevent it
|

Leakage of solid
matter, liquid or gas from the back passage is
devastating for both men and women. Anal incontinence that can occur as an
independent condition or alongside urinary incontinence seriously
affects the quality of life of the sufferers, who frequently become depressed, isolated
and recluse. Fortunately, there are a number of options to treat
and/or to manage these types of leakage.
In her new book Prevent it, Dr Grace Dorey explains the reasons
behind the faecal incontinence and how to prevent or stop the leakage from
happening. The book also explains how and when to tighten the pelvic floor
muscles as part of an exercise recovery programme. These crucial pelvic floor
exercises can be performed by men and women that suffer with the condition or
wish to prevent it from occurring in the future.
Prevent it is a
self-help guide and/or an adjunct to therapy. It is suitable for the patients
as well as healthcare professionals and students. Convenient assessment
questionnaire, glossary of medical terms and "where to seek help" section are
included.
Interesting,
informative, easy to understand and particularly helpful guide for everyone
concerned - personally or professionally. Well presented and interestingly
illustrated.
