Ultrasonic Dust Mite Controller from Drontek

The use of the Drontek dust mite controller may prove to be the best aid in the prevention of allergies for many years!

Dust Mites

Dust mites could be causing more allergies than expected. It is now believed that over exposure to the dust mites may even lead to persons becoming allergic to pollen and further more, developing hey fever.

It is now believed that the dust mite could responsible for up to 50% of respiratory asthma, eczema and perennial rhinitis. As the dust mites are present all year round, the dangers of allergies caused by them is constant and in allergic people and children presenting immediate allergic response on contact.

Dust Mite Controller is the first device to attack dust mites by ultrasonic sound - an effective and proven way of stopping the mites from eating and reproducing.

How does the dust mite controller work

The Drontek Dust Mite Controller works by emitting a complex range of silent acoustic sounds. These sounds cannot be heard by people or domestic pets. The ultrasonic sounds and waves interfere with the feeding and the reproductive cycle of the dust mites. This leads to an immediate reduction in the amount of faeces produced by the reducing dust mite population. Furthermore, with time, the dust mites continue to feed less and their population continues to reduce steadily due to lesser reproduction.

In consequence, the amount of allergens excreted by the dust mites in their faeces also reduces.

Trials of the dust mite controller clearly show a reduction in the allergic symptoms just after a few weeks of the dust mite controller use.

Conclusions

Scientific and clinical trials show the reduction in allergens (faecal matter) caused by the disruption of the feeding cycle. The studies have shown that a reduction in the allergen concentration becomes evident as early as in the first few days of use. The disruption to the reproductive cycle over a period of weeks and months leads to the population of dust mites greatly decreasing rather than increasing as in normal circumstances.

More about Dust Mites

What Are Dust Mites?

Dust Mites are microscopic spiders the size of 200 µ. Dust mites that live in house dust are important allergenic agents responsible for allergic disorders.

These mites live in house dust and in bed components (like mattresses and pillows), feeding on epithelial dander.

Temperatures between 18-21 degrees C and elative humidity of the environment represent the best conditions for the dust mites reproduction and fast increases in the size of their population. Dust mites live between 2-4 months producing many eggs.

Allergic disorders caused by dust mites:

Dust mite faeces contain proteins that induce allergies. If these allergenic proteins are inhaled or deposited on the skin, the body reacts by producing antibodies. A chemical substance called histamine is release and leads to a local immune reaction in people and children predisposed to allergies.

The symptoms of allergic reaction to dust mites include runny and itchy nose, sneezing, watering eyes, difficulty in breathing and sometimes especially in young children, worsening/exacerbation of dry skin conditions.

Dust mites contribute to allergic disorders, such as continuous perennial rhinitis and bronchial asthma. The sufferers are normally allergic to faecal pellets that are rich in allergens. After having identified the dust mites as the key cause of the allergic disease, avoidance of contact with dust mites is recommended as a part of treatment.

The elimination of mites (or the reduction of their numbers) is a priority procedure to follow.

Environmental cleaning procedures:

Cleaning procedures are fundamental to the reduction of the allergen concentrations in the environment. The procedures include the following approaches:

bullet Thorough removal of the dust mites
bullet Reduction in the allergenic substances produced by mites and excreted in their faeces

Statistics

Approximately 25% of the worlds population is affected by allergic disorders, most of these disorders are caused by inhaling allergens. Dust mites are the number one indoor allergen producers.

One of every three children are in some way allergic to dust mite allergens. Uncontrolled environments can cause a number of allergy disorders, including asthma. Reduction in the dust mite population is proven to be the most positive step that can be taken.

Dust Mite Controller can help you combat troublesome dust mites living in your home!
