Please, read these instructions carefully prior to use of the FibreFresh waterproof items, so that you can care for them correctly and achieve optimum effectiveness, durability, comfort and lasting satisfaction.

Caring for a new item: All FibreFresh waterproof products are “easy care - wipe and dry”. Routine washing will shorten the life of the products! Refer to cleaning instructions detailed below. Abbreviated care instructions and content labels are sewn to every individual product. All fluid proof items are flame retardant. Regular immersing in water will destroy flame retardance!  

Detergents:  Do not use harsh detergents!  

Do not use Fabric Softeners or Conditioners!    

Bleaches:  Only diluted oxygen-based domestic bleaches should be used (half a cup per 5 litres of water).   

Storage and Handling: Wear gloves and aprons to prevent contamination of personal clothing when cleaning or changing soiled items. Store soiled items separately from clean products. When clean, store in dry cupboards and away from potential contaminants like chemicals, liquids or powders. Do not expose to open flames and keep away from electric and gas heaters.  

Replacement: Products should be replaced when damaged or embrittled.  

Electric Blankets: We recommend that individual manufacturers be consulted for advice on usage of electric bed warming devices, if these are to be used with fluid proof bedding items or bedding protectors. The FibreFresh Fluid Proof Blanket/Duvet Covers must not be used on electric overblankets! Always exercise caution when using electric warmers alongside incontinence products! Non-electric methods, such as hot water bottles, wheat bag warmers or microwavable gel warmers are safer! Basic rule: Always unplug an electric underblanket before lying down.

Using and Caring for the FibreFresh Fluid Proof Bedding Items and Bedding Protectors

FibreFresh Fluid Proof Blankets, Mattress Protectors, Pillow Cases and Duvet Covers are made from a 100% polyester based coated fabric with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. The products have been designed to offer effective fluid protection as well as exceptional comfort. The fabric is breathable and vapour permeable and contributes to comfort during sleep by reducing sweating and overheating due to the lack of airflow. Usage: Blankets can be used with or without separate ordinary covers. The duvet covers and pillowcases should be used directly over standard bedding items with or without additional non-water proof covers. The mattress protectors should be placed directly on the mattress underneath the usual bed sheet. 

Cleaning: Wipe with warm soapy water and dry with soft dry cloth. Alternatively, wipe with an antiseptic solution, Isopropyl Alcohol, Mineral Spirit or diluted household bleach (half a cup of household bleach per 5 litres of water). Always end cleaning by wiping thoroughly with clean warm water! This will prevent the formation of unwanted residue that could irritate the skin. Dry by wiping with clean cloth.
